On behalf of the entire staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Madina King Fahad Hospital ’s imaging services. Our Radiology Department provides a full-range of diagnostic testing services utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. No matter what kind of imaging test you are having done, you can rest assured knowing you are receiving some of the finest imaging services available in the Kingdom.
The Radiology Department at King Fahad Hospital , Madina is dating back to 1980, when the hospital was fist operated. The department started with 4 general radiography units, 1 fluoroscopy unit and 1 conventional angiography unit. CT and Ultrasound were introduced in 1982. MRI and Gamma Camera were installed 1993.
Today, King Fahad Hospital’s Department of Radiology is is one of the areas leading the way in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by bringing imaging excellence into the community with the state-of-the-art equipment in all imaging modalities. The department is fully digital, filmless and paperless since June 2009.
With a staff of over 10 certified and 16 in-training radiologists, 3 physists and more than 60 technologists having a high volume of studies approaching one hundred thirty thousand per year, the Department has gained distinction for its subspecialty expertise in radiology.
The Department is also providing outstanding education services in Medical Imaging. Our primary commitment is conducting postgraduate Saudi Board program in Medical Imaging and training diploma students and intern radiographers. We are also supporting medical students, interns, graduates, and post-graduate residents in all specialties for their radiology rotations.
